Hope Church hosts a team of health visitors on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month between 9.30 and 11.30am. They are registered nurses or health visitors who have a specialised qualification in public health and the care and development of pre-school children.
They support families with a new baby or a child aged under five-years-old, and provide advice, support and confidential health advice on:
a child’s growth and development
immunisations
common infections in childhood
common skin problems
behaviour difficulties, such as sleeping, eating, potty training, temper tantrums and teething
breastfeeding, weaning, healthy eating, hygiene, safety and exercise
post-natal depression, bereavement and violence in the family
To support their work, Hope Church provides a Community Café which runs alongside the Clinic. The Café is a popular meeting place for parents and provides a great opportunity to relax and chat with others at a similar stage in life.
Get in touch by emailing us at office@hopechurch7oaks.org or call the office on 01732 464456. Alternatively visit the NHS Kent Community Health website.
What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission, rare in secular culture, to discuss the big questions – life and death and their meaning.
