Ashburnham - book now. You can't just turn up on the day

Anyone planning to come to Ashburnham, the church weekend away this summer, has been urged to book in or risk being turned away.

This situation also applies to day visitors, including those planning to come on Sunday August 27th when there is no Sunday meeting at Hope Church in Sevenoaks.

"I'd urge everyone who wants to come to book in now, even if only attending for one day," said a Hope Church representative. "We'd hate for people to drive down to Ashburnham only to find they couldn't get in."

The reason for not accepting visitors on the day is due to legal requirements surrounding child safeguarding. UK law means the kids and youth work must have the correct ratio of approved adult workers to children. If people just turn up on the day they may bring under 18s and the event may not be able to accommodate them legally.

Ashburnham is being held over the bank holiday weekend 25-28th August.
