Youth

Youth at Hope Church Sevenoaks

Hope Church has an active youth group for 11-18s called Ignite.

Led by a team passionate about the next generation, Ignite takes fun and faith seriously! The group hosts a variety of activities aimed at helping youth grow in maturity and in their relationship with God, alongside having a good laugh and burning off plenty of energy.

Apart from its regular 6.30pm meeting on Sunday evening, Ignite holds plenty of socials and each year has a weekend away as well as a visit to the outstanding Christian youth festival called Newday based in Norfolk.

Anyone in the 11-18 age group is welcome (that is anyone at secondary school).

Ignite runs different events, tailored for age and interest. These include:

Ignite evenings

Held on Sunday evenings between 6.30-8.30pm, these sessions include games, worship, talks and discussions about relevant topics as well as exploring the Christian faith in general.

Rooted

Aimed at school year 7-9s our younger discipleship group meets once every other week to learn about God and have fun with it!

Unshakeable

This group meets every other week and is for those in school years 10-13 with the aim of tackling tough subjects; helping our young people become leaders.

Around the Fireplace

Suitable for youth of all ages, these sessions are designed to dive deeper into the bible and comes with breakfast! Food and faith – what could be better?

Safeguarding

All leaders of the youth team have been passed by the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure safeguarding standards are aligned to those of the safeguarding charity ThirtyOneEight (for more information see the charity’s website at thirtyoneeight.org).

We believe that when God grabs hold of a young person’s life, they have the potential to change the world... The next generation of leaders, taking the message of Jesus to the world: fathers, mothers, church planters, artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, policy shapers, movement makers, and courageous life givers.
